FOR EVERY 10 SCARVES SOLD WE CAN SEND ONE CHILD TO SCHOOL FOR A YEAR.

Each piece manufactured and produced by Koko Celeste is made with one objective in mind, to better the life of someone else. Our aim is to leave both the world and communities around the globe in a brighter place than before we existed. Koko Celeste sources both inspiration and handcrafted items from Nigeria. We are honored to bring the bright colored wax prints and raffia goods to everyone, everywhere all the while using proceeds to further infrastructure in education, entrepreneurship, and women's hygiene in underdeveloped Nigerian communities.

FOR EVERY 10 SCARVES SOLD WE CAN SEND ONE CHILD TO SCHOOL FOR A YEAR.

ALL CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO AN EDUCATION. Currently, Nigeria has the largest youth population for out-of- school learning in the world. Although the concept sounds like a progressive one, the reasons for the absence of traditional schooling in Nigeria might have more to with infrastructure and environment than some new wave educational concept. There are tens of thousands of public primary schools in Nigeria that should be filled with children, but often economic, gender and environmental barriers prevents children from an education that will benefit them in the future. According to UNICEF Only 61 percent of 6-11 year-olds regularly attend primary school and only 35.6 percent of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood education.

Our goal is to close that gap by offering scholarships for children, renovating schools and offering institutions things like computers and calculators, that can aid in the educational advancement for young minds.

Please follow us on the journey to make learning a safe and prosperous activity for our future.
